Junior Panhellenic Council is a division of the Panhellenic Council comprised of young leaders from each chapter's newest pledge class. Applications typically open after fall recruitment is completed.
Ghouls, Goblins, and Greeks
Ghouls, Goblins, and Greeks is a trick-or-treating event put on by all the Panhellenic chapters for the local children and families in Gainesville and Alachua county. Each chapter picks a theme and decorates their house accordingly. The sorority women dress up in costumes, pass out candy, and play games with the trick-or-treaters. This event occurs right around Halloween, and the entire community gets involved. Each child receives a GGG t-shirt and candy bag at check-in.
New Member Lip Sync
New Member Lip Sync is a lip sync competition in which the newest members of randomly paired Panhellenic sororities and IFC fraternities compete. Each year, the show has a theme, and each team makes a music mix, choreographs a routine, and puts together costumes. This event consistently has a great turnout, and all money raised from ticket and t-shirt sales goes to the Dreams Come True Foundation.
New Member Service Project
Junior Panhellenic's service project varies by year. For 2019, the service event was held at the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge located here in Gainesville. First, the Junior Panhellenic Service Vice President organized a toilet paper and paper towel drive for each sorority to participate in. Over 3,000 rolls were donated! Then, Panhellenic women went to the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge and met with some of the patients that live there. They beautified the area by replacing planters, re-potting plants, and reorganizing and cleaning the six kitchens.
