At Kappa Kappa Gamma, we live by our motto to “dream boldly, live fully”. We truly focus on making the most of our time here at UF, and the best memories are those we make with our sisters by our side. As much as we love hanging out at the house, the Gainesville area doesn’t disappoint when we want a change of scenery.
Getting outside and enjoying the Gainesville weather is one of our favorite activities! Whether you are looking to relax in a hammock in Plaza, float down a river with your sisters, or break a sweat biking on the trails, there truly is something for everyone.
UF is historically known as an everything school, and Gator pride runs deep in Kappa. One of our favorite things is cheering on the Gators in every season. From fall football, winter basketball and gymnastics, to spring baseball, nothing is better than grabbing your sisters, throwing on your orange and blue, and heading to the stadium!
The local foodie scene is so fun to explore, and there are always new spots to check out. If you need a break from the libraries, there are tons of local coffee shops- Opus and Wyatt’s are two of our favorites. There are so many great food spots downtown, too. From The TOP to Boca Fiesta, you are always just one meal away from your new favorite spot. Nothing beats a good meal with better friends!
Gainesville is amazing, and it has so much offer, but what makes the college experience is the women by your side through it all. Being with sisters makes all these fun activities even better, but they also make all the days of class and studying and meetings feel like we’re living in the good old days. There is no blessing like having found this incredible group of women that loves each other so deeply and enjoys experiencing life to the fullest, together!
