Ringing in Spring Recruitment

Informal spring recruitment season is an exhilarating new time for new members to visit chapter homes, be introduced them to Panhellenic's sense of sisterhood, and find what makes each chapter so special.

At Sigma Kappa, our Vice President of Membership, Emily Almond, and our Continuous Open Bidding Chairwoman, Ashley Pendlebury, had the joy of welcoming our newest member class at our "SKy's the Limit" Bid Day. Since becoming new members of the chapter, MC 22.5 has met sisters, participated in events, and more.

Here’s what our new member Olivia Civettini said about her spring recruitment experience:

“Even though I’ve only been here for a short amount of time, I know it was the best decision I could’ve made for myself. I have already met so many amazing girls and have already made such great friendships. I’m surrounded by some of the kindest, most driven, and uplifting girls and I know being in my chapter will constantly push me to be the best version of myself. I’ve already been able to step out of my comfort zone in the best way possible, and I don’t think I could’ve done it without my chapter. There has never been a time I haven’t felt completely welcomed in the house or at an event. Since the first event, I knew these were the girls I wanted to spend my college experience with and I can’t wait to make so many more memories with my sisters!”

Justine Herard highlighted some of the best benefits sisterhood has brought her:

“Spring Recruitment was probably one of the best decisions I made for my spring semester! I came in knowing a few sisters, but I am so happy that I took time to be independent and meet others. It’s been so great to have people to hang out with and form connections with. Sigma Kappa truly has shown me what sisterhood is supposed to feel like!”

Reagan Doucette gushed about her own recruitment experience:

“One of the things that drew me into recruitment was how kind and genuine the sisters were! They were so welcoming and were really interested in getting to know me. I loved spring recruitment. It was very lowkey and I could pick which events I went to. Getting to know my new sisters and meeting all of their friends has been such a fulfilling experience! I can’t wait for the next 3 and a half years!”

Spring recruitment can be a special time to join a chapter and find what makes sisterhood so special.

With love, a Sigma Kappa Sister.
