Involvement: This year, Pi Beta Phi spent time bettering ourselves and our community through various book and supply drives, litter cleanups, fundraising events, and participating in Greek philanthropy events. We also held an in-person, socially-distanced philanthropy that raised over $18,000 for literacy efforts. Pi Phi’s passion for service extends beyond Greek life, and our sisters have leadership roles in organizations like Dance Marathon, Ulitter, vStrike Magazine, Panhellenic Council, Danza, Camp Kesem, Preview Staff, the Student Admissions Office, the Independent Florida Alligator, Green Gators, the American Medical Student Association, Gator Growl, Dream Team, and Global Business Society.

#westicktogether because sincere friendship means sticking together through the good and the bad. 2020 presented unique challenges to every aspect of life, testing our resilience, passions, and commitment. Through it all, Pi Phi was there to provide comfort, advice, and love. When we ‘throw what we know’, we recognize the importance of solidarity within Pi Phi, Greek life, and the Gainesville community. Our little yellow house on fraternity row is a home to all.

As a PNM three years ago, I went into recruitment with an open mind. The morning of the first day of recruitment, I wondered, “what did I just get myself into?” That week, I chose Pi Beta Phi because whenever I left the house, I was so excited to meet someone new. Fast forward three years (and I really do mean fast,) this still rings true with our newest member class. Through Pi Beta Phi, I have come to know the kindest, funniest, most passionate, and brightest women ever.

I could not have imagined the impact that these women would have on my life. These women inspire me and each other to reach their fullest potential and to strive for excellence in all that we do. Seeing our members put their all into our philanthropy events, social events, recruitment, and everything in between is really something special. Pi Beta Phi has given me sincere friendships and enough memories to last a lifetime.

Serving as President of the FL Delta Chapter of Pi Beta Phi has been an honor and my absolute pleasure. Being a member of Pi Beta Phi and the Panhellenic community has truly shaped my college experience and I would not be the woman I am today without it. Every summer, I miss the love and laughter that fills our big yellow home. Pi Beta Phi at the University of Florida has not only brought me friendships that I will cherish long after graduation but also a forever home in Gainesville. I can’t wait for you to be welcomed into our big yellow house, see you soon!
