#thisishome because being a Sigma Kappa is more than a four-year experience during your time in college; Sigma Kappas are lifelong friends, mentors, and sisters. Sigma Kappa is an organization that encourages its members to grow personally, on campus, and in their communities by providing endless support and guidance for one another through its sisterhood. Because of this, Sigma Kappa is more than just a house- it is a home full of genuine and loving sisters who are most comfortable when together on the couch watching movies, having sleepovers, or just eating dinner while talking about our days.

As the Chapter President, it is my utmost pleasure to welcome you to the Beta Tau Chapter of Sigma Kappa! Sigma Kappa has provided loving friendships, endless support, and opportunities for personal growth for thousands of collegiate women, which is why I am so excited to share a glimpse of the experience I’ve had as a member of Sigma Kappa at the University of Florida.

When I was going through Recruitment my freshman year, I was automatically drawn to Sigma Kappa. My time spent speaking to members of the chapter each round made me feel more and more at home; this was due to their pride in the chapter’s values and genuine interest in giving me the best experience in their home. These reasons were why I chose to be a member of Sigma Kappa and am so excited to stand alongside my sisters and offer the same experience to new members of our chapter each year.

My sisters continuously strive to exhibit our core values of loyalty, friendship, service and personal growth; both within and outside of our organization. Our chapter provides opportunities, guidance, and support for collegiate women to achieve their goals while at the University of Florida; such as with campus organizations, community service, internships, and post-graduate opportunities.

Sigma Kappa has given me the confidence to pursue my dreams while at the University of Florida. Within our chapter, I have found my best friends, my hype team, and those that push me to be the best version of myself each day. I am humbled and proud to represent this incredible organization as the President this year, and as a sister every year after. If you would like to learn more about our chapter, please do not hesitate to contact us!
