Involvement 2025: The sisters of Sigma Kappa are proud to maintain a strong, active presence both on campus and throughout the Gainesville community. Our members are involved in some of the university’s most prestigious organizations, including Florida Blue Key, Student Government, Florida Cicerones, Preview Staff, and March of Dimes, among many others.

 

This past year, Sigma Kappa was honored to be one of the top fundraising organizations for Dance Marathon, raising an impressive $8,000 from our chapter alone. Our commitment to philanthropy is a cornerstone of who we are. Each fall, we host two major philanthropy events, including our beloved Sigma Kickoff soccer tournament, with all proceeds benefiting the Alzheimer’s Association — our national philanthropy partner. Additionally, our sisters actively participate in the local Walk to End Alzheimer’s, where this past year we raised thousands of dollars to support vital research and resources for those affected by this disease.

 

In the spring, we continued our tradition of giving back by hosting Sigma Kappuccino, a philanthropy event with proceeds directed to the Sigma Kappa Foundation. Beyond these larger efforts, our sisters take part in numerous service initiatives throughout the year, including volunteering with Grace Marketplace, The Big Event, A Girl’s Place, and many other local organizations.

 

At Sigma Kappa, it’s important to us that we show up not only as sisters, but as engaged, passionate women dedicated to making a meaningful difference both within our chapter and in the broader community.

From sharing laughs at dinner with our beloved house mom, Steph, to discovering hidden gem coffee shops around Gainesville, it’s not just about what we do—it’s about who we become together.

 

These four years lay the foundation for relationships that last far beyond college. In our chapter, we cherish authenticity, genuineness, and love. Our bond is built on showing up for one another—every day, in every way. Whether it’s for a late-night study session, a spontaneous adventure, or simply a shoulder to lean on, we are always there.

 

This sisterhood is not just a series of moments—it’s the way we move through life with intention, support, and heart. The memories we’ve made have shaped us, rooted us, and brought us closer together as one heart, one way.
