Hear from a few of our community members on why this value important to them and how being a part of the Panhellenic community helped them further this value or feel connected to it!
"To me, the value of service is empathy, kindness, and generosity all in one. Service unites us in a shared mission to help make a better world, one act of kindness at a time. Connecting with this value helps me grow as an individual by broadening my perspectives and building character while helping the community." - Sara Gerstenfeld, Alpha Epsilon Phi
"Service is a super important part of my involvement in greek life! I’ve had the honor of serving as my chapters Panhellenic chair, which means (among other responsibilities) organizing involvement in the Big Event, the biggest service event in Gainesville! Besides that, I also love being involved in other sororities/fraternities philanthropy events, such as ADPi pancakes and SAE cajun cook out to name a few! All these events are great ways to serve the community and get involved around campus!" - Keira Taylor, Delta Delta Delta
"Service is about making your community better than it was before! Gamma Phi Beta has created many service opportunities for me to not only serve my community but build leadership skills, develop a sense of responsibility, and gain knowledge on accountability. Additionally, I get to explore new skills and meet new people all while making my community a better place. The best part is that I get to do it alongside my GPhi sisters! <3" - Katelyn Mysinger, Gamma Phi Beta
"I am so thankful to be in a community with girls that exemplify service in every way. Through providing meals to the underserved, decorating hospital rooms, or building schools, my sisters constantly inspire me to serve and give back to the communities that have given us so much. I have loved working alongside them in March of Dimes, a service org, to promote maternal and child health." - Tori Hough, Phi Mu
